Lithuania: Beer sales up 2 pct in a year

Lithuanian beer industry sales totalled 250,000 hl in May, up 2 pct year-on-year, the Association of Breweries reported June 08.

Kalnapilio-Tauro Grupe reported the fastest growth in the sector at 22.22 pct month-on-month.

The largest amount of beer, 119,000 hl, was sold by Svyturys-Utenos Alus brewery, but its sales were down marginally from 120,000 hl in May 2005.
